This interactive artwork is located on Grimkärrsvägen 1 and celebrates unique stories and memories from Möklinta. If visitors point their smartphones towards the statue, the stories of the area are brought to life through AR and sound. Among other things, you will discover the towering 17.72-meter-high woodpile that set a world record in 1992 and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the former annual festival Möklintaveckan. From dancing and cow bingo to the charcoal kiln, axe throwing, music, and more, the event has left countless unforgettable memories. The artwork also highlights the iconic Möklintagården, a hub for parties, soup lunches, meetings, theatre, and even a 140-meter-long red carpet weaving project. You’ll encounter figures from the local community, including a legendary motorcycle enthusiast, Latvian folk dancers, and Kerstin’s daughter’s white dog.
The work was shaped through conversations with local residents and was created in collaboration with Bokbussen, Sala Kommun, and Sala 400 år. Sound design by Håkan Lidbo.
